Nella canzone “My way” cantata, fra l’altro, da Frank Sinatra, c’è un verso che dice: “I ate it up and spit it out”. Chiedo perché “ate” è giustamente present past e “spit” è present tense? Non dovrebbe essere “ate…” e “spat” ? Grazie per la gradita risposta. Giovanni

Hai completamente ragione! D’altronde Frank Sinatra si chiamava “The Voice” e non “The Grammar Expert”!
