Minor mistakes
In order to improve my English, I bought the 339 number of Speak Up! At page 62 I read the Mr. Sukha’s interview. Despite that he studied English at school in Korea and he lives in England, Mr. Sukha makes some mistakes that you point out, suggesting the correct form. But, why didn’t you correct the sentence: “ In Korea we started to learn English from middle school”? I don’t think that it’s correct. Thank you for your time. Giuseppe Spinnato
We didn’t correct it because it wasn’t a major mistake. In theory he should have said “We started to learn English in middle school” but to say “from middle school” is almost acceptable. An English mother tongue person could even say it and nobody would notice that anything was wrong. We hope this helps!
