Ho notato che nel classico del mese di giugno, Lord of the Flies, ci sono delle frasi evidentemente sbagliate. Immagino che questo sia stato voluto, ma qual era l’effetto che voleva dare l’autore? Si tratta di una parlata regionale o tipica di una persona poco istruita?

It was intentional. William Golding wanted to show that “Piggy” came from a different social class. Correct grammar is associated with the middle classes, while “we was” is associated with working-class speech in London, but also in other regions.
