Remembering
Is it correct to say: “I’m remembering him in all his glory”? (see page 50 Speak up December 2014). Can you use the present continuous with the verb remember? Maria Rita
Yes, normally you would say “I remember him in all his glory” but in Carl Schonbeck’s short story, one of the characters, Justin, jokingly says, “Yes, and I’m remembering him in all his glory” because he is thinking about him at that precise moment. The present continuous is used here because it’s the same principle as “What are you doing at the moment?”
