Enjoy! part 2

Hello! In “Happy Labor Day” (August 14) it’s written “(…) most families just like to enjoy…” . But after like isn’t better the -ing form (most families just like enjoying)? Thank you very much. Giuseppe

With the verb “to like” you can use either the infinitive (“to”) or the “-ing” form, but “like enjoying” sounds strange and that is why the author wrote “like to enjoy.”
