Aarrgghh!! Wi-fi

AARRGGHH©Ramon_RomaioliSpesso i cartelli vengono tradotti in modo scorretto, il che genera confusione ma anche divertimento. In questo bar di Salò “Chiedi il codice per accedere a internet” è stato tradotto male, sia in inglese sia in tedesco! Se vedete errori, fotografateli e mandateceli! LANGUAGE LEVEL B1 (LOWER INTERMEDIATE)

When it comes to translating a simple phrase, sometimes Google can give you all you need, but the owners of this coffee bar in Salò (BS) were too lazy. Instead they made a literal translation from Italian. And, as if that wasn’t enough, they also got it wrong in German! The correct English would be: Ask here for an Internet access code. The correct German: Fragen Sie hier nach dem Zugangscode für kostenloses Internet. Our thanks to Ramon Romaioli for spotting this one!

If you see English mistakes (in Italy, the UK, anywhere!) that make you scream “Aarrgghh!!!” please take a photo and send it to redazione@speakupmagazine.it  We will publish the best (that is, the worst) both here and on our Facebook page.
